I have a secret to share. I graduated Summa Cum Laude in College and went to The Ohio State University on a full ride scholarship. However, I have NEVER worn a graduation gown or walk the ceremony.
Today, I decided to suit up to thank everyone who has been supportive of my projects and vision. Call me a romantic but I still believe in the power of Art. When we sold out of sketchbooks, there were people who wrote in for their critically ill friends and even one who needed it to impress and propose to his girlfriend. I caved on these occasions and sold them my copies.
I am not sure if a sketchbook/art can ever save lives or win heart. What I do know is that every success is dependant on supporters and The Perfect Sketchbook would have never taken off without our backers.
I like to thank Winnie Chan James Quan for their belief in my mission. Joni Herison for his extensive help in my projects and for sending me to Bhutan. Those trips have been a constant reminder of whats important in life. Thank you Arron Teo for always glorifying us with his amazing photographs. Peter Morgan for always polishing my thoughts with wise words.
