IMPORTANT: PLEASE SHARE WITH ALL YOUR CONTACTS SO THAT WE CAN WORK TOGETHER TO HELP ROUGH SLEEPERS ACCESS ACCOMMODATION AND SERVICES!!!
The temperature is beginning to drop and the number of rough sleepers is on the rise.
Before we know it the temperature will dip further and the blistering snow and ice will hit and anyone rough sleeping or street homeless is unlikely to survive outside in the cold. SWEP (Severe Weather Emergency Protocol) will not be activated until night time temperature drops below zero. For those of you that don’t know SWEP aims to help vulnerable people to get out of the cold into warmer safer temporary shelters, unfortunately many of those that are homeless are unaware of how to access these services. To ensure that these people are reached we the public have a responsibility to report this to Streetlink so that outreach services can help these homeless individuals access services and emergency shelter.
I urge you all to please report any rough sleepers from now on and not wait until the temperature drops further.
Can you imagine having to spend one night out in the cold? We are fortunate to have shelter, heating and the basics necessities that we need as humans, so please let’s work together and try to help those that are street homeless.
It only takes s few minutes of your time and you can make a report by calling: 0300 500 0914
Alternatively you can make a report online at:
https://www.streetlink.org.uk
StreetLink by Homeless Link has also developed apps to make it easier to make reports of homeless/rough sleepers.
The App is available for both iPhone and Android users…just search for Streetlink.
Please note that you will be required to register for the app and online reporting as Streetlink has issued the following statement: “We ask users to sign up StreetLink to help us obtain a better quality of information to increase the chance of finding someone on the streets.” Please do not be put off by the fact that you have to register.
Please please report if you see anyone homeless/rough sleeping in the cold…if possible buy them something to eat and a hot drink…you could be saving a life…I urge you all to share this with all your contacts…if you have any questions I am more then happy to help if I can…Monju…xXx

Bristol music people. This whole St Philips Gate mystery-venue-that-has-to-keep-moving-its-gigs-to-other-venues thing has been troubling me. So I did what all good troubled people should do and went out and paced every yard of the St Philips and Feeder Road area to…  Đọc tiếp
