Republicans will win the tax bill unless the DNC acts NOW. Time to use FEAR because too many eyes glaze over at use of facts. The DNC should work with AARP, PACs, and liberal billionaires to buy simple 30 sec ad spots on FOX. Strike to the heart of trumpland with what the bill will do to THEIR Medicare and their lives. Also use targeted campaigns on social media.
This will put pressure on just enough republican swing votes to avoid the 50 votes needed in the Senate.
Remember that it only took two words for republicans to take back Congress – “death panels”. It was simple, fear based, and visual. We tried to explain it away as a lie with repeated use of facts – how did that work out for us back then? The damage was done by the time they figured out there were no panels.
If they don’t start this within a week or so, then the largest shift of tax dollar based wealth ever is going to the 1% and corporations. It would take winning back the WH and both Houses to reverse it. By then too much damage will be done.
