The past few evenings a large owl has been joining us in a nearby tree at dinner time out on our porch, protecting us from snakes and ground moles I assume. Hoping it comes earlier sometime so we can get a clearer pic.
Smaller birds tried to chase it away to no avail, and even the large crows remain quiet now. I assume it got chased from its home deeper in the woods by all the new home construction. Our cat keeps a wary eye out as she pads along the porch’s brick knee-high this side of the screen, and jumps down every time the owl moves lol
